Clyde Peeling's Reptiland is a specialized zoo featuring high-profile reptiles and amphibians from around the world. The zoo is located on US Route 15 in Allenwood, Pennsylvania and offers visitors wild encounters in a modern educational setting. Reptiland's lecture service provides exciting programs to schools, colleges and other organizations. A new traveling exhibit, Reptiles: The Beautiful and the Deadly offers zoos and museums a chance to showcase these misunderstood creatures in an exciting interactive setting. Expeditions, led by zoo naturalists, offer adventure travel opportunities to Africa, South America and The Galapagos Islands.

The National Aviary offers nearly twenty educational forums for both children and adults, including the programs "Beginning Bird Watching," "Junior Naturalist," and the award-winning "Little Bird Festivals" for pre-schoolers. Recently, Adult Education programs have begun, and have featured talks on "Parrots" and "Birds of the Bible."
In addition to its educational programs, the National Aviary is actively involved in conservation programs, such as the Species Survival Plan. The National Aviary participates in the preservation of many species of birds, including Bali Mynahs, Pink Pigeons, and Red Crowned Cranes. Scientific research at the National Aviary includes "footedness" studies and Parrot Neurology, Enzymatic aging of birds, and breeding and rearing strategies for endangered species.

This 11 acre walk-through zoo displays living plants and animals from five regions of North America and enables us to see first hand how animals live and interact with each other. The North American continent is home to a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish, many of which are found in ZOOAMERICA. We do offer a wide variety of prescheduled educational programs as well as group rates. The zoo is located on Rt. 743 in Hershey, Pennsylvania and is open year round.
