The Nashville Zoo is searching for a motivated individual to join our Aquatics team. This position is primarily responsible for water quality testing for exhibits and NPDES stream sampling. In addition, tasks will include exhibit maintenance, husbandry of fishes, invertebrates and aquatic reptiles. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the observation of animal health, animal training, proper feeding regimes, and life support systems maintenance, proper house keeping. Advanced water quality testing skills with accurate and concise record keeping are required for this position. Experience may be in the form of jobs or internships conducting water quality analysis at public aquariums, zoological parks, or with an environmental lab. This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions. Pre-employment drug screening required. The starting pay range is 9 to 11 dollars an hour.
