SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The ERC Administrative Assistant will support the work of the Educator Resource Center (ERC), Teacher Enrichment and Engineering the Future staff by covering phones, providing library services, organizing the office, maintaining program schedules, preparing program materials and monitoring outreach communication.

DIMENSIONS:

* Field 25 calls and emails/day.

* Schedule and support 30 appointments & programs/month.

* Process 150 new Teacher Partners/month.

* Circulate 400 resources in library collection.

* Support 6 Teacher 3-5 day institutes annually .

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENTS:

1. Support Educator Resources Center (ERC) operations by providing overall secretarial support including handling phone calls, emails and in person inquires; scheduling appointments, processing meeting and event related paperwork; maintaining brochures and handouts; ordering and managing program materials; and organizing office space.

2. Coordinate teacher programs for the Engineering the Future project by responding to all related phone and email inquiries; updating and maintaining the web-site; creating on-line surveys; handling web and on-site participant registration and billing; scheduling and coordinating programs; and ordering and managing all workshop materials.

3. Enable library services by taking the lead on circulation, re-shelving and inventory; assisting with collection development and ordering.

4. Facilitate the Teacher Partner Program by maintaining the database and processing/mailing TPP cards.

5. Support Teacher Enrichment programs by assisting with marketing and outreach; maintaining participant applications and related communication; processing stipend and certificates; preparing, organizing and distributing workshop and follow-up materials; maintaining the Teachers’ Room and related supplies.

6. Perform other work-related duties as required by Manager.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Temporary full time, 35 hrs/wk, starting December 1, 2009: Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-5pm (includes a one-hour unpaid lunch break). Eligible for full-time benefits package.

Program Manager, Teacher Enrichment & Educator Resource Center

and Director, Education & Enrichment

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

* 1 to 3 years of experience.

* Knowledge of library procedures including referencing, cataloging, and on-line research.

* Ability to work with database files and perform basic accounting.

* Fluency with Microsoft Office software, including MS Excel.

* Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently.

STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly). $14.00/hr.
