Responsibilities: The Commissary Keeper prepares daily and weekly diets for collection animals in accordance with designated recipes. Handles foodstuffs including hay, grain, produce, meat, fish and rodents. Sanitizes and disinfects food preparation equipment, supplies, commissary and adjacent areas in accordance with food industry standards and established protocols. Accepts deliveries and inspects deliveries of diet items for freshness, quality, and contamination. Inventories and rotates bulk diet items and fresh foods. Makes food deliveries to animal areas, and prepares diet items for pick-up.
Requirements: Requires a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license in good standing. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift 50 lbs. Please send names and phone numbers of two professional references.
